A world without questions
Sometimes I think about how a company could be made by extraterrestrials.
addition to the physical form of people, I try to imagine how they could be woven into the social relations with the inhabitants of that hypothetical world.
Assuming that they are able to use language, nothing assures us that it is something like a language on earth. Being a language
that has evolved completely separate from human languages, may have different structures, simpler or more complex than those of terrestrial languages.
may have more features than our language and simultaneously to be lacking in others.
I like to assume that, among the missing features, there is the question.
On Earth, we assume that any language has developed a form suitable to ask a question: whether in the form, using appropriate words such as "when", "where", "why" "how" and the question mark (the English make it even earlier the sentence overturned, in order to prepare the reader voice intonation appropriate to the formulation of the question) and is just intonation. If there
alien populations are able to communicate without asking any questions, then this discovery would lead us necessarily to re-examine our human relationships, because the language is derived precisely from the existence of interpersonal relationships and the need for better exchange of information or by hope that the other is already aware of useful information to us.
would then think that these aliens are the egocentric nature.
a language where there is the question suggests that the speaker is so sure of himself and has no need to point that it never need to ask anybody anything. A population of
born learned in other words!
This would think at first, but if we pause a moment to reflect, perhaps we could find some other reason to everything.
Imagine instead that "our" alien to capacity and have developed over the millennia, the ability to perceive the needs and desires of others, without "forcing" necessarily having to make into a question. On Earth, this capability is called "empathy" and this hypothetical world would call it just like that: "Empathy."
This is why the sentences of the inhabitants of Empathy lose that aura of presumption which had cloaked the beginning. Sentences are handed down to their wishes and needs in one direction and to provide useful information in the other.
Empathy On occasion there are phrases, which happen on Earth are the same old questions about health or about the weather. The empathy (Faulty strange aliens) listen carefully and then when the other person has finished speaking, if they have the information they say, would not ask questions.
I would not mind living for a while 'on empathy, to try as you live without being pestered with questions.
As you can see I'm training, I wrote this story without question, "telling" exactly my idea. In doing so I noticed that initially it is difficult to stop to ask (even to themselves), but then I finally realized that it is much better to say something unselfish, rather than ask for it.
